Claim to Fame: Every year, Beaver Creek Mountain is host to the Birds of Prey World Cup and in 1999 and 2005 Beaver Creek and Vail co-hosted the World Alpine Ski Championship.

The Vilar Performing Arts Center is a theater owned and operated by the Vail Valley Foundation, which presents numerous year-round performances including Broadway musicals, concerts, comedy and dance.

The Beaver Creek Ice Rink is an outdoor rink situated in the middle of the village. It is the ideal place to create new memories and feel delighted and inspired by your surroundings and breathtaking views. The ice rink is surrounded by fire pits and cozy couches to enjoy a wonderful evening.

Beaver Creek is home to some of the most popular hiking trails in the Vail Valley. These hiking trails feature waterfalls, rivers, streams and lakes. Most trailheads are located just a few minutes from the village. The chairlifts and gondolas operate all summer, which makes it extremely easy for hikers to explore the mountain. Beaver Lake Trail and Turquoise Lakes Trail are some of the most visited trails in the area.

SIGNATURE EVENTS

Beaver Creek’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony brings families together to celebrate the magic of winter and kickoff of another wonderful ski season. The event also features a holiday poetry contest, ice skating show and performances by different groups from all over Colorado. The evening closes with a spectacular fireworks display over the village.  This event typically happens Thanksgiving weekend.

Blues, Brews, & BBQ Festival features top chefs from around the state serving up delicious barbecue complemented by craft brews and blues music from around the country. This event takes place Memorial Day weekend every year.

Birds of Prey is a World Cup downhill ski race featuring the world’s best skiers in the United States. The alpine event consists of Mach 2 speeds, on-a-dime turns and much more. This event typically happens in December.

Independence Day at Beaver Creek is a fun family event to celebrate our great nation under the stunning blue skies in Colorado. It is the perfect time to explore the unique shops and art galleries, hike through the aspen glades or enjoy lunch on a patio. The night closes with a spectacular firework show.

Oktoberfest returns to Beaver Creek every Labor Day weekend with foot stompin’ oom-pah-pah music, unbeatable beer and wunderbar wurst! It is the perfect time to be outdoors and hike, bike, play a round of golf and celebrate Oktoberfest in Beaver Creek. What tastes better than beer and a brat? A beer and a brat that you’ve earned running for a good cause! On Sunday of Oktoberfest, spend the morning enjoying the beauty of Beaver Creek’s trails with the Beaver Creek Oktoberfest Shuffle (benefiting one of our local nonprofits).
