Sylvan Lake State Park is nestled in the heart of the Rockies and surrounded by gorgeous scenery and the White River National Forest. It is conveniently located approximately ten miles southwest of Eagle and is the perfect setting for fishing, hiking, picnicking, kayaking, and camping. There are 44 campsites, nine cabins, and three yurts available to reserve for overnight stays. You can also enjoy the seven miles of state park trails and convenient access to the national forest.
Eagle is know for its trail system Trails which is perfect for hiking, running, and biking. These activities are exhilarating ways to enjoy the town’s majestic natural scenery. You can enjoy everything from short loops with the kids to epic backpacking adventures; the opportunities for outdoor adventures are limitless.
Eagle Climbing Fitness is an indoor climbing facility that offers many activities for everyone, from beginners to professional climbers. The facility is built for hosting climbing competitions and special events, team practices, lessons, birthday parties, and youth programs. They also offer yoga and fitness classes throughout the week.
Mountain Recreation Pool & Ice Rink is another must-visit when in town. Take lessons, host parties, or just head there for a slippery adventure. In the summertime, the outdoor pool allows you to enjoy a presently warm day in Eagle, the pool features a kids’ area and slides to make it even more fun for the kids. Adjacent to the pool, there are tennis courts, a two-acre BMX track, and access to Eagle’s mountain biking trail system.
