Events on the Mountain

Beaver Creek Birds of Prey
Start your winter with Birds of Prey Ski World Cup! The Super G, Downhill, and Giant Slalom races generally take place at the beginning of December. The festivities of BC World Cup weekend celebrate “Where Winter Begins” in North America. This event include live music, beer tastings, ski films, parties, sponsor activation and much more in the heart of Beaver Creek Village.

Beaver Creek Mountain Snowshoe Races
Challenge yourself to a winter race. The Beaver Creek Snowshoe Series draws first-time snowshoers, world class snowshoe athletes, and everyone in between with a series of courses that highlight the sparkling beauty of Beaver Creek in winter. Join for a single race or the entire series with the 10K course or the 5K course.

Vail Closing Day
A one-day, closing day event that is sure to create long-lasting memories as the ski season comes to an end.

Beaver Creek Winter Culinary Weekend
Join us in January to enjoy experiences ranging from intimate, luxurious culinary explorations to dynamic, high-alpine outdoor adventures. Taste of Vail
The Taste of Vail, in April, showcases more than 30 of Vail’s finest chefs and restaurateurs alongside the owners and winemakers from nearly 50 of the countries’ top wineries. Click here for more information.

Blues, Brews & BBQ
The annual Blues, Brews & BBQ event in May in Beaver Creek provides a great family-friendly atmosphere. Feast on mouth-watering Colorado BBQ grilled, smoked, and sauced to perfection by the region’s best pit masters. Then wash it all down with craft beers. Come together for the ultimate feast for the senses!

Hike, Wine & Dine
Hike, Wine and Dine is a very relaxed five-mile hike in the middle of the fall’s leaf season that encourages meandering, long conversations and frequent stops to enjoy the many culinary cocktail options. This is a fundraiser for Jack’s Place, A Cancer Caring House.

Farmers Markets

Although farmers markets aren’t unique to the Vail Valley, each market is one of a kind, with unique wares, beautiful art, delicious snacks, handmade crafts and more! We have four farmers markets that span across the valley during the summer months:

Local’s Tip: Plan on eating a meal at one of the local farmer’s market. From crepes to tacos to paella, think of it as an artisan food court. In addition to the local fruits, veggies and meat, there is often art and live music!

Action Packed Events

  • GoPro Mountain Games are the countries largest celebration of adventure sports, art and music. Pro and amateur athletes compete for fun and glory during this welcome-to-summer festival. From running to climbing, biking to dogs jumping from docks, there isn’t one minute of downtime. Jam pack your weekend with your favorite events, SWAG from outdoor industry partners, nightly concerts, and more. And the best part? It’s all 100% FREE.
  • Kids Adventure Games offers kids the opportunity to experience the thrill of adventure racing. Teams of two zip over creeks, run up trails, slide down the mountain, soar over the creek and pedal thorough singletrack. Fierce fun, just like the kids in Vail.
  • The VRD Bike Races bring out local mountain bike racers and let them compete on a singletrack throughout Eagle County. Races are open to kids 8 and older.
  • Dynafit Vail Trail Running Race Series has become a must do race series. Expect well-marked routes, fully-stocked aid stations, experienced volunteers and courses that are challenging for the elites and enjoyed by the beginner trail runner. Shorten your bucket list and register for the entire series or choose an individual race.
  • The Beaver Creek Summer Solstice Trail Run is arguably the most enjoyable race in the Dynafit Trail Running Series made possible by the Vail Recreation District. Beginning and ending in beautiful Creekside Park in the heart of Beaver Creek, the Summer Solstice run sends participants through and around the resort community. 

     

Laid Back Events

  • Eagle Flight Days is an annual summer event that takes place at The Eagle Town Park and is packed full of fun things like a parade down Broadway, horseshoe tournament, concerts carnivals and more!
  • Gypsum Daze — A community event every July that brings friends and families together to celebrate Colorado and rural mountain fun. Join us for another spectacular Gypsum Daze filled with activities and fun for everyone.
  • The Beaver Creek Wine and Spirits Festival combines Beaver Creeks very own culinary talent, exquisite wines and beautiful outdoor venues to create an unforgettable weekend.
  • Eagle County Fair and Rodeo is a long standing tradition here in the Wild West. From mutton bustin’ for kids to professional rodeo action, there’s not one dull moment.
  • Vail Valley Brew’Au! What is a Brew’Au you may ask? It is a beer festival combined with a lu’au of course. We will have a professional sandcastle builder’s competition, water lanterns (at dusk), 3 bands, food trucks, breweries, cideries and fun for the kids! Drinking tickets will include unlimited samples of amazing beers and craft ciders – in your GLASS sampling cup.
  • Oktoberfest it up! Oompah music, bratwursts, beers and lederhosen. Germany comes to Vail, Beaver Creek and Gypsum every autumn. The American twist on Germany’s Oktoberfest even comes with a professional yodeler or two.

Insider Tip: Staying hydrated is extremely important when you are at high altitude —  especially when you are out in the sun. Make it a priority to take water breaks throughout the day.

Vail Dance Festival
Celebrate two weeks of exceptional artistry at the Vail Dance Festival. There is nothing quite like a night spent under the stars, taking in all the festival has to offer from tap dance, to modern to classical ballet.

Hot Summer Nights
Enjoy this free concert series hosted every Tuesday evening throughout the summer at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater. Bring a picnic and enjoy the Hot Summer Nights show from the lawn while taking in the beautiful Colorado air.

Bravo!Vail
Bravo!Vail hosts some of the greatest orchestras, musicians, and acclaimed soloists throughout the summer. Come watch these masters perform in a breathtaking mountain setting at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater.

ShowDown Town
ShowDown Town is a locals favorite bringing everyone together to enjoy free music and activities for the entire family. Make your Thursdays a little bit more fun and come down to Eagle to enjoy the beautiful summer evenings.

Vilar Performing Arts Center
Check out the calendar of events at the Vilar Performing Arts Center with a variety of Broadway musicals, holidays concerts, family entertainment, comedy, dance, classical music and more in a world-class venue in the heart of Beaver Creek Village.

Avon LIVE Concerts in the Park
Avon LIVE! Concerts in the Park series at Nottingham Park offers four exceptional evenings of live music. This Wednesday evening music series provides an opportunity to come together and experience music, fresh and unique foods from food-trucks and enjoy a summer evening outside.

Vail Jazz Festival 
Vail Jazz Festival provides a series of unique performances and signature educational programs from some of the best jazz musicians out there! It all cumulates with the Vail Jazz Party that promises a jam-packed lineup throughout Labor Day Weekend.

Amp Summer Concert Series
Amp Summer Concert Series is a a summer-long music series that brings headliner music to Vail! The series is booked in collaboration with AEG Presents, one of the largest live music companies in the world, and brings well-known rock, pop, country, and bluegrass icons to the Gerald Ford Amphitheatre throughout the summer and early fall. The concerts will be at the It promises to be a really good time.
