Locals’ Favorite Ways to Relax and Unwind in the Mountains

Are you looking for locally loved ways to recharge? We’ve asked locals to share their favorite ways to relax and unwind in the Valley.

Bryan from the Sebastian-Vail says, “In the summer, I love a leisurely stroll through Vail Village and along Gore Creek to the Ford Amphitheater to hear live music during the Bravo! Vail concert series. Vail Village and Lionshead offer a variety of options to shop, dine or enjoy live music in a stunning setting.”

Jonathan from the Four Seasons Resort and Residences says, “Spa, spa, spa! We have a gorgeous Spa at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail – fully equipped with saunas, steam rooms, indoor whirlpools, and relaxation rooms in both locker rooms to enjoy pre or post treatment. We recently introduced signature rituals as an ideal way to engage all of your senses while you discover a new level of relaxation, hydration and rejuvenation.”

Matt at The Inn at Riverwalk says, “My favorite way to unwind is by taking a stroll along the Eagle River on the Eagle Valley Trail, which is right behind the Inn. Many sections of the trail are flat making it a great option for everyone, including people with strollers and small kids.”

Chris from the Sonnenalp Hotel says, “My favorite way to relax and recharge is with a massage at the Sonnenalp Spa. The heated stone massage is great for my back and aching muscles after a day on the mountain.”

Ineke from the Town of Avon says, “Find a pair of wheels. I enjoy both road biking and e-biking and using the Eagle Valley Recreation Trail to bike up or down Valley. I like to bike east to Vail along the river to visit friends and then enjoy the easy downhill ride on the way home to the west.”
