It’s tough to leave the mountain when you’re here, but you also don’t want to miss out on the incredible events Vail and Beaver Creek put on for their guests. Good thing some of the most exciting and adrenaline pumping displays happen on-mountain and in-village!

ON THE MOUNTAIN

Beaver Creek Birds of Prey
Start your winter at Birds of Prey! The Beaver Creek Xfinity Birds of Prey Audi FIS Ski World Cup Super G, Downhill, and Giant Slalom races generally take place at the beginning of December. The festivities of BC World Cup weekend celebrate “Where Winter Begins” in North America. This year’s event is scheduled to include live music, beer tastings, ski films, parties, sponsor activation and much more in the heart of Beaver Creek Village on what is dubbed “Birds of Prey Way”.

Vail Snow Days
Celebrate the season with Vail Snow Days. This 4-day festival in December brings free concerts at Ford Park, in-town and on-mountain early season specials, après and after dark parties, lively expo village and more.

U·S·Open Snowboarding Championships
The Annual Burton U·S·Open Snowboarding Championships returns to Vail, Colorado every February. As the premier event of the competitive snowboarding season, the Burton U·S·Open showcases the most progressive riding from the world’s top athletes in both slopestyle and halfpipe. In addition, the celebrated Burton U·S·Open Halfpipe Junior Jam presented by Clif Bar features the world’s top 14-and-under riders vying for a chance to compete against the pros.The Burton U·S·Open also offers a packed entertainment schedule including four nights of free concerts, daily après specials, and fun activities and events for all ages including the annual Chill fundraiser, a kids learn-to-ride Riglet park, athlete meet and greets, as well as the closing party at the Dobson Ice Arena.

Beaver Creek Mountain Snowshoe Races
Challenge yourself to a race like no other! The Beaver Creek Snowshoe Series draws first-time snowshoers, world class snowshoe athletes, and everyone in between with a series of courses that highlight the sparkling beauty of Beaver Creek in winter. Join for a single race or the entire series with the 10K course or the 5K course.

Is It Après Yet?
A one-day, closing day event that is sure to create a positive, long-lasting memorable experience for our guests. Enjoy a jam-packed day of action including an on-mountain luau, sponsor Expo Village, live concert, aprés parties, giveaways, and so much more.

And don’t miss Vail Après’ End of Season Bash – typically closing week of Vail Mountain – which brings nightly musical acts to Vail Village and a variety of spring-themed on-mountain activities.
