It's the romantic, yet poignant, story of the poet Rudolfo, the beautiful Mimi and their friends set in the garrets of Paris and the raucous streets of the Latin Quarter. The opera is a quintessential portrait of romance, high-spirited friendship and the idealistic pursuit of love and art. For generations, La Bohéme has been the best first opera, the best date opera, and, for many, the best opera.

Teatro Lirico D’Europa’s performances have become an annual tradition at the VPAC, their performances appeal to audiences comprised of both opera lovers and newcomers, alike.
