First Annual Fire & Ice in Nottingham Park

The Town of Avon is famous for its Independence Day celebration and accompanying fireworks display.

For the first time ever, visitors have the opportunity to experience this amazing pyrotechnic extravaganza during President’s Weekend! The Town of Avon is thrilled to be able to present their renowned fireworks display on Sunday, February 17, 2013 during “Fire & Ice in Nottingham Park”.

Attendees will experience six award winning, world renowned ice carving masters as they battle in the carving competition starting at 3:00 p.m. The ice competition will culminate with the People’s Choice Award followed by the exciting Ice Bon Fire!

Be sure to visit Beaver Creek’s PrezFest on Saturday, February 16th to see the ice sculptors warm up their carving muscles during the Americana Ice Sculpture Exhibition! Sculptors will bring Beaver Creek Village to life, creating PrezFest-themed ice sculptures in every corner of the resort. Stick around for children’s activities, parades, performances, ice skating and more!

The “Fire & Ice in Nottingham Park” grand finale is Avon’s legendary fireworks display featuring over 10,000 shells exploding in Harry A. Nottingham Park starting at 6:30 p.m. The pyrotechnics display set to a musical score and broadcast on KZYR 97.7, will be the center of the Fire & Ice festival.
