Event Description: THE FUTURE OF ENERGY IN A GLOBAL ECONOMY
Saturday, March 2 - Sunday, March 3, 2013

The highly successful Vail Global Energy Forum (VGEF) will return March 2 + 3, 2013 to the Vilar Performing Arts Center (VPAC) in Beaver Creek, Colorado.

The Vail Valley Foundation, in conjunction with Stanford University's Precourt Institute for Energy (PIE), Precourt Energy Efficiency Center (PEEC), and other distinguished partners, will host this event to address the world’s energy challenges and solutions.

The VGEF will examine the pressing challenges of meeting growing demand for clean energy from secure sources at affordable prices. New promising innovations will also be discussed.

The VGEF will again feature some of the world’s most distinguished speakers and panelists as part of its agenda, drawing from leading government officials, prominent energy researchers, energy industry executives, investors, venture capitalists, energy regulators and journalists.

“We were thrilled to have such an enthusiastic response to our inaugural VGEF in 2012 and to have the support of our many sponsors. However, there is still much work to be done to resolve the pressing problems of maintaining– and growing – a healthy global economy without depleting our precious natural energy resources. We will present something old and something new to keep next March’s agenda fresh and stimulating,” said Jay Precourt, Founder of VGEF

The 2013 VGEF will take place in Vail and Beaver Creek, CO.
