VRD's 36th Annual La Sportiva Vail Hill Climb

Costs: $28 preregistration or $38 race day

Named best trail race by Colorado Runner in 2006 and 2011, the HillClimb will test local, regional and national runners with a 7.5 mile climb from Vail Village to Vail Mountain’s summit, a gain of 2,500 vertical feet. The race begins at 8 a.m. in Vail Village on the paved road next to Vail’s Mountain Haus and continues the ascent on a gravel trail that takes runners to the finish line at Eagle’s Nest. The Eagle Bahn Gondola in LionsHead will operate from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. for race-day spectators and volunteers. The HillClimb is presented by the Vail Mountain Haus and is the third race of the 2011 La Sportiva Vail Mountain Trail Running Series.

Bib Pick Up: (7/5&7/6 ) 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Ford Park Tennis Center or on the race morning from 6:30 - 7:45 a.m. in front of Vail's Mountain Haus at the Covered Bridge.

Online Pre-Registration: Ends at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 5th. You may register the morning of the race at the Race Start until 7:45 a.m.
