Angela Au

Piano virtuoso Angela Au makes returns for her third performance on the VPAC stage with a recital of romantic classics. Astonishing audiences with her incredible musical gifts, Au began piano lessons at the age of six. After only nine months of study, she won her first prize, a grand championship, and went on to win over a dozen more. In 1987, she became the first Hong Kong-born pianist accepted to the Curtis Institute of Music and in January 1990, Au appeared with the Philadelphia Orchestra, performing Mozart's Piano Concerto K.488. Ms. Au was chosen to play for H.M. Queen Elizabeth II to honor her Royal visit to Hong Kong.
