Wednesday Street Beat Concert Series - Vail Village
Street concerts begin at 6:00 p.m. at Check Point Charlie in Vail Village. Kick off your ski boots and put on your dancing shoes.
Ski/Snowboard Competitions - Vail & Beaver Creek
The Session, US Freeskiing Open, Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge, American Ski Classic, Malay Day, World Pond Skimming Championships, U S World Cup - all free to viewers and held throughout the winter.
Ski Museum - Vail Village
The Colorado Ski & Snowboard Museum - Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame, located at the top of the Vail Transportation Center, is the keeper of great skiing heritage and history. Exhibits on display include a timeline of Colorado skiing, Olympic and World Cup memorabilia, 10th Mountain Division, the Evolution of Snowboarding, and the Spirit of America's Champions
Thursday Night Lights - Beaver Creek
Glow-stick ski-down with music, followed by fireworks. Register by 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays at the Beaver Creek Children's Ski School.
Minturn Winter Market - Minturn
Saturdays in December, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Strolling carolers, open fire pits, cookie decorating and holiday cheer will be spread at the fourth annual Winter Market.
Guided Snowshoe Tours
Guided Snowshoe Tours from the Nature Discovery Center
Join a Gore Range Natural Science School naturalist on an hour-long snowshoe tour through Vail's mountain-top forest. Identify tracks, learn about winter adaptations and revel in the beauty of this snowy landscape. Snowshoes are provided on these hour-long outings that are suitable for children ages 10 and up.
